Presidents Message – Febuary 2007
Respectfully submitted by Danielle Hirkala - PresidentIt’s hard to believe that February is already here and I ask myself what happened to January. The first part of 2008 has been an extremely busy one at the KRC with several facility and equipment improvement projects being completed prior to the start of events at the club.
I am very excited about the many events that will be held at the club this year such as our annual spring dressage and hunter/jumper shows, the BC Summer Games, gymkhanas and our 50th anniversary celebration. In addition to these events, the club will also be hosting several educational events including clinics and seminars so please check back to our events page to find out about future events at the club (www.kelownaridingclub.net). The club is also proud to host the Kelowna Pony Club which fosters the equine education of our young riders (please contact Jean Sandercock for more information at tamarackvalleypc@aol.com). We are very fortunate in Kelowna and surrounding areas to have such a wonderful facility to utilize and I strongly encourage riders and organizations in all disciplines to become members and join in the great things the club has to offer. Finally, I’d like to send a huge thanks to all who have put their time and effort into making the club a great facility and organization for all riders and horse enthusiasts. I hope to see you down at the club and that you are as excited about the upcoming year as I am.
